We are excited about the Opening of the Chester Farmers Market on June 23, 2013. The market will be open every Sunday through October 6 from 10 AM to 3 PM except September 8.

The Farmers’ Market Committee, as well as the entire Rotary Club of Chester – Long Valley, would like to thank everyone for helping to make this year’s (2012) Farmers’ Market a success. A heartfelt thanks goes out to all people who visited the Farmers’ Market, whether to browse or buy. Your presence made the difference and in the long-run and equated to increased sales for the market vendors. With a special thanks to all those who participated in signing up for the vendor merchandise basket raffle. The winner of the raffle, which was drawn on Sept. 30 and presented on the last day of the market, October 7, was Stephanie L. Sills of Cinnaminson, NJ. As Sills was out of town her friend Domita White of Stroudsburg, PA accepted the basket for her. The committee would like to thank all participating vendors that braved the heat, cold, rain and sunshine, for their high level of professionalism, as well as their friendliness and cordial manner when dealing with the committee and customers.

All proceeds from the Farmers’ Market will be used by the Rotary Club of Chester – Long Valley to fund projects and activities within the community.

The Rotary Club of Chester – Long Valley would again like to thank everyone who helped make the market a success this season. Hope to see you again next year.

The Rotary Club of Chester/long Valley started selling fresh picked citrus fruit to help support our local . Stop by the Rotary tent to see what we have and place your order. Citrus fruit will be available for pick-up on November 17, just in time for the holidays. Any questions concerning the citrus fruit sale should be directed to Florence Lambros on 879-4919.

Opens Chester Market for the season 2012

Take a drive to Scenic Western Morris County and stop at The Chester Farmers Market, expanded and improved in 2013. A new location on Chester's Perry Street has been chosen to accommodate larger crowds. In addition to bountiful farm produce, more than 25 vendors offer fresh breads, other bakery delights, cheeses, wines, honey products, pickled goods, Alpaca woolens, and many more 'organic' creations. The retailers in Historic Chester are also participating, with their unique treasures. Festivities surrounding the market will include weekly local musicians and choral presentations, free balloons and varied family activities. This year the Farmers Market is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Chester-Long Valley as a service to the local community and businesses. Stop at the Rotary Tent on market day to get your list of vendors and shops, and to say hello. Chester, New Jersey, is located about 15 minutes west of Morristown at the crossroads of Routes 206 and 24 (513). Come out for some great foods, wholesome entertainment and just good '' .
